Is Sodium Bad For You?
Do you know what this stuff in the bottle is?
Sodium is dissolved in the blood and plays a key role in maintaining blood pressure. It also attracts and holds water, so the sodium in the blood helps maintain the liquid portion of the blood.
So essentially without it, we would be screwed. In the picture above, notice that this sea salt is very moist and slightly grey in color. It is very different than the pristine white table salt that we are all so familiar with. . . AKA sodium chloride.
Avoid Sodium Chloride
You know, the salt shaker that’s always on the table at your favorite restaurant. That is the stuff that we totally have to avoid at all costs. When your doctor says he wants you to watch your sodium intake, he is talking about this one.
On the other hand, real hand-crafted sea salt is the one we want more of in our diets so when doc says restrict your salt, you correct him and say restrict my sodium chloride intake but increase my sea-salt intake. This salt is so amazing that is also supplies the body with 70-90 trace minerals. A pinch here and there throughout your day will keep the Doctor away!
Benefits of Sodium from Sea Salt
You will be amazed at what this does for our bodies. By simply adding a good sea salt into a clean diet, you can alleviate migraines, keep metabolic rate up, prevent seizures and even correct mineral deficiencies. . . and best of all, you have plenty of energy.
When we are eating very clean (nothing from a package or can) and have cut out all processed and refined foods, adding a good quality hand-crafted salt to ensure optimal health is absolutely necessary.
